Candycopia is an international and bulk candy store featuring over 250 varieties of candy from around the world, with a particular emphasis on Swedish candy. Their Swedish Pick N Mix Bar is the only one of its kind in the Midwest, letting customers build custom bags from dozens of imported Swedish gummy, sour, and chocolate varieties. They also carry nostalgic American candy, trending international treats, dirty sodas, and ice cream. The shop hosts birthday parties, offers fundraising partnerships for local organizations, and rents candy carts for events.

## Origin Story

Patrick and Alycia Mason launched Candycopia in June 2022 with an original location in Oak Park, riding the wave of viral Swedish candy culture on TikTok and Instagram.

The Swedish Pick N Mix concept was generating huge enthusiasm online but had almost no physical presence in the Midwest, and the Masons saw an opportunity to bring that experience to life in a brick-and-mortar setting.

The expansion to Elmhurst’s York Street brought Candycopia to a downtown with heavy foot traffic and a family-friendly atmosphere perfectly suited to a store built around the simple joy of picking out candy.
