Kimmer's Ice Cream is a family-owned ice cream shop run by Kimberly Yates, who grew up loving ice cream and studied the craft formally. She and her husband Isaac make small-batch, super premium ice cream by hand in single batches, using a low overrun process that makes it especially dense and creamy. The shop is known for the Sparkle Cone, a signature treat, and rotates between classic flavors like Vanilla Bean and Mint Chocolate Chip and seasonal creations such as Aztec Hot Chocolate and Red Velvet Cake.

The ice cream is made with care and quality ingredients. Kimmer started the first location in 2010 and has been making ice cream daily ever since. The recipe book has over 200 flavors, so there is always something new to try alongside the standbys.

The Elmhurst shop serves cones, dishes, and custom cakes, and you can also take home pints. It is a friendly spot for families and a good stop for dessert after dinner or a special outing. Kimmer, Isaac, and the team scoop with genuine warmth.
