Community Bank of Elmhurst is an independently owned community bank headquartered at 330 West Butterfield Road. They offer checking and savings accounts, commercial lending, wealth management, mobile and internet banking, and wire transfers. What sets them apart is that lending decisions are made locally by people who understand the Elmhurst market. Their loan portfolio is anchored in residential real estate, focused on helping local families buy and maintain homes. They serve Elmhurst, Villa Park, Oak Brook, and surrounding communities.

Origin Story

Community Bank of Elmhurst was chartered and opened on May 24, 1993, by a group of community-minded local investors who saw the wave of bank consolidation sweeping the western suburbs and wanted an alternative.

They believed Elmhurst deserved a bank that kept its roots in the community, where the people approving your mortgage lived in the same neighborhoods as the people applying for one. The bank opened with a focus on retail banking and personal relationships and has held that course for over three decades, remaining one of the few independently owned banks in DuPage County.

In August 2021, they relocated their main office to 330 West Butterfield Road.
