Origin Story
Cottage Hill Diamonds traces its origins to Kurt, a diamond professional who spent over 25 years as a wholesale diamond dealer before deciding to bring his expertise directly to consumers. His experience sourcing from international markets including Antwerp, Belgium gave him deep knowledge of how to identify genuine value.
In 2000, he opened Cottage Hill Diamonds on York Street in downtown Elmhurst. The business became a true family affair as his four sons entered the trade, each learning diamond evaluation and jewelry design from their father. Today the brothers run the operation together, maintaining the direct sourcing relationships and product knowledge that have set the store apart since day one.
