Elmhurst Premier Childcare is a boutique early childhood center providing research-based education for children ages six weeks to five years. Their curriculum blends STEAM-driven activities with play-based learning, and they’ve partnered with ChildEats, an organic farm-to-table catering company that provides fresh daily breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks. The downtown location is convenient for commuting parents near the Elmhurst Metra station.
Origin Story
Elmhurst Premier Childcare was founded by Kasindra, an Elmhurst University alumna and single mother of three whose personal experience navigating childcare as a working parent fueled her determination to create something better.
She originally opened KDI as a drop-in childcare service in 2010, but quickly realized families wanted consistent, high-quality daily care. After finding a new location in downtown Elmhurst, she relaunched as Elmhurst Premier Childcare in August 2019 with a full curriculum, organic nutrition program, and boutique-scale attention.
Kasindra’s community involvement extends beyond the center, having served with the March of Dimes, as a former Elmhurst Economic Development Commissioner, and currently as Chairman of the Elmhurst American Legion Annual Military Benefit.
