Grill 187 is the restaurant at American Legion Post 187, a veterans organization chartered in 1919. The grill serves lunch on weekdays with blue plate specials and a full menu. On Friday nights, the kitchen does a fish fry that draws regulars, and those same nights feature live bands playing in the hall.
The post welcomes all veterans and military personnel. Beyond the food, the space hosts bingo games, raffles, and other events. The Normandy banquet room is available to rent for events. It is a gathering place for the community and a way for the Legion to support its mission of helping veterans and their families while giving back to Elmhurst.
