Hey Elmhurst! - June Events in Elmhurst

Things to Do in Elmhurst This June 2026

Summer is finally here, and June might just be the best month of the year in Elmhurst! 🌞

The markets are back, the trolley is rolling, and there’s something happening almost every week.

Whether you’re looking for fresh produce, live music, family activities, or a fun night out, here’s your complete guide to everything happening in Elmhurst this June! 😍

June 3: Elmhurst Farmers Market Opens for the Season

When: Wednesdays, 7am to 1pm (June through October)
Where: Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church parking lot, 149 W. Brush Hill Rd
Cost: Free to attend

The Elmhurst Farmers Market is back, and this year it’s better than ever!

Every Wednesday morning from June through October, local farmers and vendors bring the freshest produce, baked goods, and artisan eats right to the community. You can find fruits and veggies harvested the day before, plus baked goods, pastries, breads, local honey, cheeses, eggs, meats, and so much more.

New this year, you’ll find burritos, acai bowls, fresh pressed juices, granola, roasted nuts, loose leaf teas, mushrooms, and fermented vegetables!

Grab some coffee or lemonade, enjoy live music starting at 10:30am, and make a morning of it. It’s THE midweek market in the western suburbs!

June 5: The Explore Elmhurst Trolley Returns

When: Starting June 5 (running all season)
Where: Downtown Elmhurst
Cost: Free

The Explore Elmhurst Express Trolley is back for its 10th season!

This is hands-down one of the easiest and most fun ways to explore downtown Elmhurst (and it’s my personal favorite event of the year!). Hop on and let the trolley connect you to dining, shopping, and events all across the city.

Whether you’re running errands, heading to dinner, or just want to enjoy a leisurely ride through town, the trolley makes getting around a breeze all season long!

June 6: Elmhurst Cycling Classic

When: Saturday, June 6
Where: Around Elmhurst University and Wilder Park
Cost: Free to spectate

The Elmhurst Cycling Classic is one of the most exciting events of the summer, and you don’t have to be a cyclist to enjoy it!

This is a thrilling, free sporting event where elite athletes race around a fast course encircling Elmhurst University. I

t’s kind of like NASCAR and the Tour de France had a baby, with racers zooming by every few minutes at speeds over 30 mph. You can stand just feet away from the action!

Beyond the races, the day features music, food, expo vendors, a Phase Three beer garden at Wilder Mansion, residential block parties, and a Community & Family Fun Ride. Stick around for the Elmhurst Twilight Mile, where some of the fastest runners take on the same course. B

ring the kids, grab a spot near the finish line at Wilder Mansion, and soak up the energy!

June 7: Elmhurst French Market Returns

When: Sundays, 9am to 2pm (June through September)
Where: Municipal lot at 103 S. Prospect Ave (corner of Park and Prospect)
Cost: Free to attend

The Elmhurst French Market is back for another season of European-style market charm!

Every Sunday from June through September, you can browse unique vendors offering artisan foods, fresh produce, flowers, clothing, books, arts and crafts, jewelry, and more. Operated by Bensidoun USA (a family that’s been running open-air markets in France for four generations), this market brings a little slice of Paris to downtown Elmhurst. I

t’s the perfect way to spend a relaxed weekend morning, and there’s ample parking nearby!

June 14: Eldridge Adventure Day

When: Saturday, June 14, 9am to noon
Where: Eldridge Park
Cost: Check with Elmhurst Park District

Looking for a fun way to get the kids outside? Eldridge Adventure Day is a morning packed with outdoor activities designed for children. Held at Eldridge Park from 9am to noon, it’s a great chance to let the little ones explore, play, and burn some energy in the fresh air.

A perfect Saturday morning activity for families!

June 17: Party in the Parks at Berens Park

When: Tuesday, June 17
Where: Berens Park
Cost: Free

Party in the Parks is exactly what it sounds like: live music, food, and community fun all in one place!

This time it’s happening at Berens Park, and it’s a wonderful way to spend a summer evening with neighbors and friends. Bring the family, grab a bite, enjoy the music, and soak up that summer community spirit that makes Elmhurst so special.

June 19: Movie in the Park (Zootopia 2!)

When: Thursday, June 19, 7pm
Where: Check Elmhurst Park District for location
Cost: Free

Kick off the Movie in the Park season with a family favorite!

The first showing of the summer is Zootopia 2, starting at 7pm. Pack some blankets, chairs, and snacks, and settle in for a fun outdoor movie night under the stars. It’s a classic summer tradition and a great way to enjoy a warm evening with the whole family.

June 20: Elmhurst Family Pride Fest

When: Saturday, June 20, 12pm to 4pm
Where: Elmhurst Presbyterian Church, 367 Spring Rd
Cost: Free

Celebrate Pride right here in Elmhurst!

Hosted by the Elmhurst Pride Collective, this free, outdoor, all-ages celebration is queer-centered and family-friendly, shining a spotlight on local LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs, artists, and allies. In honor of America’s 250th birthday, this year’s theme is “America Is For Everyone.”

Bring the whole family and show your support for Elmhurst’s LGBTQ+ community and local makers!

June 20: June Jazz at Elmhurst University

When: Saturday, June 20, 6:30pm to 9:30pm
Where: University Mall, Elmhurst University (rain site: Hammerschmidt Chapel)
Cost: Free

If you love live music under the stars, June Jazz is a must!

This year marks the 30th annual concert, and it’s headlined by the John Pizzarelli Trio! This free, outdoor celebration of summer takes place on the mall of Elmhurst University’s beautiful arboretum campus. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and a picnic basket, and come early to soak up the atmosphere.

June Jazz is one of those longstanding Elmhurst traditions that brings the whole community together, and with three decades under its belt, it’s clearly doing something right. Don’t miss it!
