Jayne Boutique is bringing its beloved local style to Elmhurst! This Chicagoland boutique chain has been around since 2012, with locations in Glen Ellyn, La Grange, Oak Park, Forest Park, and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, and now Elmhurst joins the family.
The boutique was named after founder Craig Cohen’s grandmother Jayne, a woman with her own innate sense of style who stayed tough in a man’s world and succeeded. Inside, you’ll find brands like Free People, Kut from the Kloth, UGG, and more, along with jewelry, handbags, and gifts.

Wok+

A new spot called Wok+ moved in at 582 W. Lake Street, right next to the Power Market.
True to their tagline “Wok’d Your Way,” Wok+ is a build-your-own-plate concept. You start by picking your base (white rice, egg fried rice, or lo mein), then choose two entrees from options like orange chicken, sesame chicken, teriyaki chicken, fried chicken cutlet, xiao ping pork, guo bao rou, tomato beef, honey shrimp, twice-cooked pork, and kung pao chicken. They’ve also got sides and extras like chicken egg rolls, crab rangoons, and bubble tea.
It’s a perfect spot for anyone craving fast, flavorful, made-your-way Asian food in town!
Naansense

Naansense is bringing their playful take on Indian street food to Elmhurst!
Founded by longtime friends Hiran (H) and Viral (V) Patel, Naansense was born from their shared love of cooking, their childhoods steeped in traditional Indian culture while growing up in Chicago in the ’80s, and their travels through India where they discovered the magic of street food carts.
And the best part is that for every meal purchased at Naansense, they fund a school meal for a child living in poverty in India. They call it “One Feeds Two,” making lunch twice as satisfying. Naansense already has a location in Chicago, and we’re excited to welcome them to Elmhurst soon!

You can grab premium coffee in the morning from their Pride Cafe (they use locally roasted beans from Modest Coffee). Swing back at lunch for a hot pressed panini or a fresh crepe made right there.
Need a quick afternoon pick-me-up? They’ve got Smoodi smoothies and TCBY frozen yogurt. Running late and didn’t have time to pack a lunch?

Dipsy Desserts is opening a brick-and-mortar ice cream shop on Spring Road! This husband-and-wife team has been serving Elmhurst since 2017 with their ice cream cart service for weddings and events, plus ice cream-making parties and classes at their Elmhurst kitchen.
They source their dairy from Sandwich, Illinois and make all of their ice cream flavors in-house right here in Elmhurst. Soon, you’ll be able to walk into their new shop and get their homemade, small-batch ice cream anytime you want!
Currently, you can still book their ice cream cart service or sign up for ice cream-making classes while you wait for the storefront to open.
Parlor Pizza
Expected Opening: Summer 2026

What it is: Pizza place with creative wood-fired pizzas

Parlor Pizza Bar is a lively, well-loved Chicago restaurant with three current locations in some of the city’s most iconic neighborhoods: West Loop, Wicker Park, and River North. Now they’re bringing their concept to the suburbs, and Elmhurst gets to be part of it!
So what can you expect? Parlor is known for creative, Neapolitan-inspired wood-fired pizzas topped with fresh, local ingredients.
The vibe is casual and fun, great for a laid-back lunch, a night out with friends, or a weekend brunch with the family. It’s the kind of energy that should fit right in on Spring Road!
Q BBQ
Expected Opening: early 2027
Location: 158 and 160 N. York St.
What it is: Fast-casual barbecue

Q-BBQ is bringing fast-casual barbecue to downtown Elmhurst! The two vacant storefronts at 158 and 160 N. York Street are combining to become this brand new spot.
Q-BBQ is a western suburbs favorite, with locations in La Grange, Naperville, and Oak Park. They’re known for their smoked meats like brisket, burnt ends, ribs, pulled pork, and wings, plus homemade sides and sauces.
Signage is already up in the windows, but there’s some construction ahead to combine the two spaces. They’re expecting to open early next year, so stay tuned!
French Toast
Expected Opening: late 2026
Location: 111 E. First St.
What it is: Breakfast and brunch restaurant
Are we getting another new breakfast spot in town? It looks like it! A new place called French Toast is coming to 111 E. First Street, in the old Krafted location.
There’s honestly not much info out there yet, but based on the name, we’re guessing it’ll be a breakfast or brunch spot!
