Big news for pizza lovers: a popular Chicago spot is heading our way! 🍕
It was officially confirmed this past week that Parlor Pizza Bar is coming to Elmhurst, taking over the former Silverado Grill site at 447 Spring Road!
This one’s been rumored for a while, so it’s exciting to finally have it confirmed. Here’s everything I know so far, plus a little look back at what came before.
A Fond Farewell to Silverado Grill
If you’ve been in Elmhurst a while, you more than likely remember Silverado Grill.
Part of what made Silverado so special was the atmosphere.
As soon as you walked through the doors, it felt like you entered a rustic cabin tucked away somewhere up north, warm, cozy, and a world away from the city (even though downtown Chicago is only like 20 minutes away!).
And the food matched that hearty, comforting vibe (my personal favorite was their chili!).
Silverado closed in the fall of 2022, and the building was later demolished in late 2023 to make way for something new.
And now it’s officially been confirmed that something new is Parlor Pizza.
So, What Is Parlor Pizza Bar?
Parlor Pizza Bar is a lively, well-loved Chicago restaurant with three current locations across the city: West Loop, Wicker Park, and River North.
And we’re going to be their first suburban location!
They’re known for creative, Neapolitan-inspired wood-fired pizzas topped with fresh, local ingredients.
But they also have craft cocktails, local beer, wine, and an impressive weekend brunch!
One menu item they’re known for at their city locations is dessert tacos, so we’ll see if we’re lucky enough to get them here! 🤞
The vibe is casual and fun, great for a laid-back lunch, a night out with friends, or a weekend brunch with the family. So Parlor will fit right into Spring Road!
When Does It Open?
No official opening date just yet, but I’ll keep a close eye on the progress!
In the meantime, get those pizza cravings ready, because Spring Road is about to get a whole lot tastier.
