128 North Addison Avenue, Elmhurst, IL 60126
Join us at Spark for a creative evening inspired by the color, symbolism and beautiful remembrance traditions of Día de los Muertos.
During this guided workshop, you’ll paint and embellish your own decorative sugar skull ceramic, choosing the colors, patterns and details that make it uniquely yours. You’ll also visit our fragrance wall to create four custom-scented votive candles—each one blended, poured and designed by you.
Día de los Muertos is traditionally observed on November 1 and 2 as a time to honor and remember loved ones who have passed. Your finished sugar skull and votives can be displayed on your own ofrenda as a meaningful tribute to those whose stories, influence and love remain with us.
Your experience includes:
• One decorative sugar skull to paint and personalize
• Paints, brushes and embellishing materials
• Curation of one custom fragrance blend to be poured into four (4) votive candles
• Guided instruction and all necessary materials
No artistic or fragrance-blending experience is needed. Guests are welcome to bring photographs or small keepsakes for personal inspiration while creating, although nothing additional is required.
This is a remembrance-centered Día de los Muertos experience and is thoughtfully distinct from Halloween.
Space is limited to only 16.
